It looks like its going to be another fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants week.
For the past few months I've been helping care for a darling 6 y.o. little girl, K., with a rare mitochondrial disorder that has prevented development of nearly all voluntary muscle control. She is unable to speak, but communicates with her eyes and facial expression: smiling, laughing, frowning, scowling, crying, looking at the preferred of two choices. She is Miss Personality, and a she and her mom have quickly become dear friends of mine. Unfortunately, she's been sick. She arrived home from a 6? day hospital stay just a week and half ago. This morning I found a message on my phone informing me she's had to go back again. Please pray for her and her mom... The days in the hospital are long and exhausting, and it is, obviously, difficult in hundreds of other ways you might imagine. C., K.'s mom, is a believer, but I know she rarely has time to sit and be quiet and contemplate her faith and what God's doing in her life. She is certainly one of the most courageous women I know... Pray that the doctors and nurses make good decisions about medications and treatments so that K. can come home soon.
In the meantime, I'll be going to visit them a couple times, but otherwise, I have some "free" time, if anyone wants to have coffee and chat...

Lyndie, I sure will remember them in prayer, you are so sweet to ask for them, I can't believe the challenges that face some of us but God is still on the throne! Love you, B...and G is in Georgia by the way...prayers there too!!
Will definitely be praying for them. Wish I could take you up on your offer for coffee...but it might be just a tad far to fly.
