Well, here they are:
Finally, pictures of the house. Gigi, I felt like an appraiser, going by and snapping pics. Sorry it’s taken so long Mama. (BTW, PTL for that amazing gift from the church in Alabama. It was definitely a glad tiding worth hearing, no matter the late hour!) The closing date has been scheduled for next Tuesday, Feb. 28, as long as the termite inspection does not yeild negative results. The current tenant has 30 days after closing to move out, and her realtor told ours that it will probably be that long- though we are hoping it will not. There aren’t a lot of things we need to do before moving in, but it would be nice to have the wallpaper down and the painting done. We’ll need to replace the sidewalk in front sometime over the summer, and we’d also like to replace the furnace, but all in time, all in time… Basic details: 3 bedrooms (2 upstairs and 1 down), 1 bathroom, kitchen (w/pantry), dining room, living room, play room, enclosed back porch (heated), big front porch (seen in pic), “3 car garage”- really, only one car garage, attached to big barn with lean-to garden shed, fenced in back yard with beds full of perennials. It is quite a charming place, with a very distinct personality, which I’m sure I will come to love and hate, and, in fact, already do, a little. Owning a home is wiser, but carries with it loads more responsibility and is one more current dragging me to adulthood- I just don’t want to be resigned. I am already a bit sad about leaving this dear country place and, says david, after all my complaining and urgency about buying a home…! Life ( Jesus and david) is far better to me than I deserve.

1) did we look at this house once? i feel like we did, but then i pictured this house over in danny and charity's neighborhood, so i'm not sure now.
2) did i tell you that i'm coming home with erin this weekend? we'll get there midday on saturday and leave sometime sunday
3) i got your mail today, YUM!! that's what i say when i like something!! it was newsy and wonderful...interesting comments on the back. i love you for sending it...keep on kissing up to me and sending me all kinds of stuff!! haha
hey, we must be online around the same time, as i just posted...!
yup, heard about you coming home: yay! :) sunday afternoon lunch sounds good. will call.
House looks so cool! Can't wait to actually be able to walk into the front door. Love all the add-ons off the back. Just think how nice it will be to walk to Broadway Joe's. The gas you save moving in from Palestine may go towards coffee instead!
Lyndie, I'm so excited for you guys. The house sounds like it's full of personality and I can't wait to become better acquainted with it. :-) Praying that the final inspection goes in your favor. . .
Katie - We have a guest room, so it'll work out just dandy for you to stay with us. Have you finished "Rebecca"?
Lyndie, have you taken pix of your urrent home before you start packing it up? Not just pix with people in them, but actual photos of the loft, kitchen, etc. I have about 6 pix of our original apartment and none of the next 3-4 places. If you have your digital, you might want to load up on some pix. Just a thought....
how come KATIE gets first dibs on the room??? you know i am nearly TEN years older than she is!! and i'm waaaay cooler....wait, no i'm not. ok, katie can have the room ;)
Well, did you have the closing yesterday? Are you now officially homowners?
