...but the LORD looks on the heart.

a little taste of the homework we've been doing.
it looks too simple to have taken us weeks...
The titles of these last two posts have been inspired by feelings of empathy for this old house. I feel like she and I are alot more alike than we might've known. Many people have "ooo-ed" and "awed" approval, but I doubt they see, like I do, the work that needs to be done. Nor do they feel what an overwhelming task it seems sometimes. I had in mind this children's spiritual I learned as a kid: "There really ought to be a sign upon my heart Don't judge it yet, there's an unfinished part, but I'll be perfect just according to His plan, fashioned by the Master's loving hand. He's still workin' on me, to make me what I ought to be... how loving and patient He must be- He's still workin' on me." There's still alot of wallpaper to peel and organizing to do and an endless cycle of cleaning. Sometimes things start piling up and it looks like I'll never get anything done. I suppose I'm not the first or last to feel this way. It's good to be home.
