hi people. its been weeks...
the move, of course, is keeping us busy. even tho we live in our new home (our new home- that has a nice ring) we have a lot of work yet to do. the list just seems to get longer every day and sometimes makes us feel rather bogged down trying to keep our heads above water.
in addition to the settling in process, my hours at work are going to be increasing for a couple months. *breathe deep, seek peace*
in spite of all this, every day i seem to happen upon a feeling of awe and gratefulness for God's many blessings- truly undeserved. this morning i was awakened by a phone call letting me know that i wouldn't need to go to work since there was a two-hr delay for the school i was to teach at. instead of sleeping in, i got up and went to the kitchen. peering out the window i saw brown bunny hopping down our little sidewalk. mama showed up a few minutes later to find me whispering excitedly to it through the window. we carefully stepped outside, hoping to catch the magic on camera. it hopped behind a bush, but then another one showed up, not more than three ft from the back door step. we spent 20 minutes whispering, cooing and taking pictures while the second one hopped around, eating violets in the long grass, practically posing. it is hard to put in words how thrilling this was. david too, was able to come out and watch them for a few min. before heading to work. the second one eventually raced off, but the first one allowed us to get remarkably close, and seemed only mildly nervous. we went inside to let him eat his breakfast in peace.
mama and i are now relaxing at B.Joes. how remarkable to be able to write this here. but we have shopping to do, so i need to finish up. eventually, perhaps, i will count my blessings here for you to see. in the meantime, know, i am stressed, but thankful to be so (most of the time) b/c it is evidence of grace.

That is just awful!! Several months ago, Rose told us how she slammed a cat in the fridge while babysitting back in high school. (accidentally!)
Our fist "baby" after we were married was a precious little grey lop-eared rabbit. We named him Larry and Danny called him "Bubba." He was like a cat and I really loved him - until we had Rachel. The Herrmanns adopted him and named him "Neil".
Hi Lyndie....I'm so glad for that special time together. Those bunnies were so adorable!
Samuel walked out of the house this morning to get into the car for school and there on the gravel driveway was a little bunny. I'm sure it was a cousin to yours. I ran inside and grabbed the camera, because Samo wanted a picture of it. ...and, of course, mana's want to make their little boys happy...
I'll show him our pix later.
THIS A.M. HEARD A SHORT THINGY ON DEVELOPPING A CONTENTED HEART...YOUR HEART OF GRATEFULNESS FITS RIGHT IN THAT. MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND HONOR YOU.
