Week 5

So much goes on in a day, let alone a week- I hardly know where to begin...

David was sick all last week (sore throat, congestion, aches). Yosi had a variation of it on Thursday and Friday, but may be heading into the clear. I got something altogether different and miserableo: vomiting multiple times last night and feeling terribly drained all day today- thank goodness David was home and feeling better!

Yoselin turned 9 months old on Wednesday. Active, curious and generally good natured, she loves playing with toys, blowing "rasberries", and meeting new people, particularly little ones, her size. She really enjoys music and we often catch her "dancing": shaking her head and wiggling her torso, particularly when a song starts. She turns heads everywhere we go. Getting used to all the attention has been a bit of an adjustment for me... It's a little awkward sometimes, but mostly gratifying, as people usually mean well.

Some days seem to drag on forever, but time has passed so quickly and there's so much to keep us busy I sometimes find it difficult to remember what we were doing only a few days before. I love being a mom, but I am definitely ready for "me" time at the end of the day.

--Showing off teeth. The front two have begun erupting in the last week: soon she'll have 6 teeth!
Visiting Daddy @ work.

Sorry to hear y'all have been sick. Hopefully, you're over the worst of it!
Those *me-times* are important to maintain just a small bit of sanity. Maybe that's why I took to sewing ~ha!

LOVE the pics!oh, and she likes meeting new people! Hold that thought til we get there, Yosi!

love,

i still look forward to "me" time, but i have to say that when they are young and so totally dependent (aka demanding) it's almost critically important that you get some!

i really enjoyed playing with yosi this morning in the nursery and chatting in spanish. her jabber didn't really sound like any particular language, though :)
