Three hundred.
Thank God for digital cameras.
I spent this evening sorting through them. Deleting ones that were unnecessary. Are 300 pictures ever necessary?
I can't decide. But probably not. Still.
Taking photos is journalistic for me. A way to record happy times, giving me a way to express creatively without using alot of time or money. Also, I'm a forgetful person. Photos help me remember.
This month has been memorable. Full of growth and changes with the little people in my life. Nearly everyday brings some kind of new discovery or adventure.
Some of the best times can not be captured on film. Monday Yosi and I went to the big pool in a nearby city, just she and I. It was a trip she was expecting since the night before, and the anticipation and wait through Monday morning was a huge test of her three year old patience. But she perservered and was elated when she woke up from her nap and it was time to go. The pool was jam packed, as was to be expected for a holiday estimated to be the hottest day of the year thus far. We were not to be deterred. Weaving between towels and discarded flipflops, we found ourselves a patch of grass, peeled of our clothes, and hopscotched back to the sparkling cool relief. We bumped elbows against all variety of skin and shapes, bucking, splashing, squealing, squinting and smiling from ear to ear. We were in our element- the water, and it was good. Yosi went down the slide dozens of times. She jumped from the side into my arms another dozen and one. Finally, sheer exhaustion and promise of ice cream pried her from the water with surprisingly little protest. But she wasn't buckled in her car seat before she was asking when we would go back again. I love my water baby. I love that she loves it as much or more than I do. And I sorta kinda love that we have no pictures of yesterday afternoon, just she and I. I doubt it's possible to capture that much happiness in 12 megapixels anyway. It would take, at least, 1000.
Nevertheless, another picture post is headed this way in the near future.
| Goggles were considered a crucial accessory, and were purchased especially for our first official pool trip of the summer. |

would love to see pics of a 'pool' adventure - sounds like you had a great time!
You can never take too many pics. Atleast with digital cameras, after the initial purchas, it's not expensive. I so wish I had more random shots from when the kids were growing up.
Sounds like Yosi and you had a wonderful time together. Those times are truly special...love her goggles..where were yours? :)
