drowned rat

hee-hee! i was taking a cat nap and woke to a warbled yowl from G.G. I soon discovered the cause of his distress. David decided it was time for his first bath- he recounted how the rascal struggled at first then limply resigned. I shouldn't laugh, but the little squirt looked like a drowned rat, simultaneously hilarious and pathetic. He seems completely unharmed, only a little humbled and in fact, has just recently cuddled up to his dd. I thought of getting a picture only after I had given an extra little towel dry. So here he is:
It was just after this picture that I noticed his eyes are turning green. Joy! He is truly becoming part of the "green eyes glowing" clan.
Yesterday david and i went to our first adoption seminar. It was really helpful. We've got a long ways to go, but it felt good to really put a foot forward on the idea of becoming parents. Pray for us if we come to mind.

If I recall, david used to think I was torturing the pets when i gave them a bath! My, oh my, how *parenthood* changes you!
So how are the cat wars going? Have they reached a truce?
Definitely, will be praying for you guys and for our future grandchild(ren)!!!

no truce as of yet. observed WOLBI growling and batting at GG this morning, after he climbed up on Her windowsill in the pantry. He just looked at her stupidly and didn't move so she relinquished her space. so sad... i hope the day they have it out, she wins and he finally realizes who's boss. but maybe it's good for W to learn how to share a little. doesn't seem they'll ever be chums tho.

Poor WOLBI...He got along fine with Jaws, I think secretly laughed at D'oGee, stayed clear of Expresso, had an act going with Shadow, but has never had to deal with another cat. Let's hope they can become amicable soon. WOLBI needs to put her foot down, show Gandalf who's boss, and then be friendly and share her kitty treats. Wonder what goes one while you're not home????
