today, after work, i went on a little mad dash around town. i checked out several garage sales, most notably, one with a baby bed which was not worth $25 or the 15min drive out of town. to soothe my disappointment at having found nothing noteworthy, i stopped in at one of the local secondhand stores and was magnetically drawn to the baby clothes. now, b/f i tell you this, i must remind some of you (sweet as you are...) that this is not a license to drive to the nearest clothing store and buy every cute thing that you see- this will be permissible, but not YET. :) so, for my blushing, but giddy admission- i bought baby clothes! as soon as i took them off the rack, i was unable to put them back. i was in a trance, imagining a darling little brown eyed, dark haired girl, with her chubby little baby legs kicking merrily- irresistibly cute in teeny flowered sundresses...
i s'pose i might've told you we're open to either a boy or girl, which is true, for the future. but this first time around we're really "panning" for a girl. today's indulgence reveals that i have inherited one of my mother's worst and best traits- a love for buying little girl clothes. i think it might be better than ice cream. *sigh*
well, here they are, 3 little outfits. gandalf had to examine them to make sure they were worthy, and then he lay down to guard them, for the 90 seconds they were on the floor. i doubt he would've been so passe were there anything live and squalling inside one of them, but for now they're harmless enough. they vary in size from 6-12 months, but they all seem equal... hmm...

Oh Lyndie! How special and how fun! It's been soooo long since we connected. I was just reminded today that you wrote us an e-mail. Although I have never experienced reading blogs before, I have to say that yours is exceptionally great! : ) I am a terrible e-mailer, but I might just have to check up on you and communicate with you this way. We are both excited for you two, or should I say "three". We have moved three times since arriving in CA and have another move planned in Sept at the latest. (sigh...) Amidst all the chaos we have been enjoying the weather, the scenery, and the beach! I hope to make it an every weekend event. John is not like minded, but that's ok cuz I have rekindled some old girl friendships and have some "beach buddies" now. ; ) Come on by sometime before baby makes three. (hehehe)
Love Always,
The Dunstan's
i completely agree that buying baby clothes - especially of the female variety - is more fun than ice cream. sometimes i still get a crazy urge to buy something for someone, even though my "baby" wears the same size i do!
Wow Lyn! That is great. So when i see great bargains I might just pick up a couple for ya!
