Gracious readers,
We completed the final interview for our homestudy July 21st. It was a somewhat rushed event, but went well overall. We are now scrambling about to get our dossier paperwork together. We hope to have this done by mid-August. The homestudy social worker informed us that it would not be unlikely for us to have a referral in the next few months, however it looks like the process from that point could drag on for 9-18 months before we can bring her home. While in one respect it is exciting to think that we may soon see the face of our child, it is disheartening to think that we may have to wait so very long to have her home. We try to reassure ourselves that God is in control and hope that He has planned a shorter waiting period for us, but we know that however long- it must be good for us and her somehow.
David's parents will be "home" this evening and plan to be state-side until October. They will be staying with my dad. Please pray that their financial needs, which are great, will be met. And that Ana will be able to gain some much needed strength in her health, in spite of their busy schedule. If you want to contact them, give me a call. I will soon know their state-side cell numbers.
Risen with Christ ~Lyndie

That's great that your homestudy went well, and very exciting to think you'll have a child in the very near future. I'm sure that Gods timing will be right for the situation, it always is.
