Adored

we received these pics of yoselin friday nite. she is definitely VERY healthy ;P and alert. this is encouraging to see. we have not rc'd her health report as of yet, but have very little doubt it will be positive. these pics ARE from october. in another pic we have of the attorney holding her, you could tell she's still a bitty baby, but these pics make her look older.
in case you're wondering, we do have other ways to occupy our time besides gaping at yosi (although this activity is a favorite). this weekend we attended the BEAUTIFUL wedding of some friends of ours, Mr. Caleb and Jackie Threewits- congratulations! i took MANY pictures- more than i usually would've, i think- because it was so extraordinarily lovely. the time of year, the weather that day, the setting, the decor: EXCELLENT.
a definite highlight was this badger~ alas, he is stuffed :( but it was neat to get to pet him (or her?) and right next to the badger- at stuffed otter (kari), that looked excessively unnatural... also, was bemused by this poster displayed in the furs room:
here i am with my two favorite men: David and Dad. yesterday afternoon we went to the renaissance festival, but were scarcely entertained, since the majority of activities that interested us cost $- in addition to what we'd already spent to enter! general consensus: waste of time, unless you have lots of money and don't mind blowing it on impractical souvenirs. all we can say~ been there, done that.
on the homefront, our study/library is in the process of being moved downstairs. david has nearly finished a new bookshelf. in the meantime, my scrapbook supplies were transferred to the back porch. i installed 4 of 6 new blinds myself- which required using a drill, for the first time. i was left unmonitored after the initial demonstration. i managed to break one drill bit- which i was actually kind of proud of since it made me feel experienced. that's all for now folks!
