day after christmas

yeah. remember when i said i'd rather have a sinus infection? well, i lied. i'd rather not. but i do. honestly tho, at least a handful of potent drugs can help me be functional in this condition. still, it sucks.

even tho my nasal cavities got progressively more burning and drippy through the day, christmas day was good. clever david made coat rack out of an old stove board and some knobs. i've been begging for one for months, but never imagined it could be so cool. i will post pics later- dad forgot to bring over the drill bit we'll need to hang it on a solid concrete wall.

yosi had fun opening an alarming plethora of gifts, starting with ours, the most humble: a ball and a lift-the-flaps book. as is to be expected, she was most amused by the paper and the boxes, several of which were large enough to climb on and made a fun little jungle gym when stacked. surprisingly though, since they've all been unpackaged and assembled, she's shown an appreciable amount of interest in them. perhaps this is because we are interested in them too, and are, therefore, more prone to active playing. no wonder she was bored with her old toys, we were bored too! we spent much of the evening building with mega-blocks, and when she wasn't helping, she re-discovered some of her old toys. go figure!

here's hoping your christmas was merry and bright.

ps. please forgive the lack of capitals. tho i am prone to do so anyways, the dysfunctional shift key has only perpetuated my bad habits. too bad, so sad.

I will trade you, my hurt knee for your sickness. Just kidding :}
I pray that you will get better quickly, when you have little ones, it seems like it is one sickness after another, plus, working in a doctor's office probably does help.
