not again!

home sick, again. i'm not sure if i'm going to get the flu shot next year. this is the first year i got it, d/t work. this is the second time in 2 weeks i've had to stay home from work d/t nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. thankfully, this time hasn't been quite as bad as the last. after 6 hrs, i was able to keep some fluids and crackers down. so, no dehydration is sending me to the ER this time 'round. this counts also as the 3rd time this year i've had intestinal illness. in the last 10? years i've gotten sick plenty of times, but NEVER any GI. i would SO much rather have a sinus infection (i say, until i get one).

tomorrow evening is our 7th annual christmas party, which we only just committed to having this week. all the invitations were by phone call, but if you didn't receive one consider yourself welcome, from 6-9p saturday night. my mom cleaned a bit when she came to pick up yosi. at least 3 of 6 downstairs rooms have been vacuumed. one (the playroom) is "under construction" as i decided on wednesday night to start tearing down the border and just finished last night around 10p. the room will be vacuumed, tho i doubt it will get painted. serves my vanity right!

being home sick has given me some time alone, a rare occurence. i watched a documentary about orphans in Uganda called: ABC AFRICA. this made me weepy, but i didn't mind. i was quickly cheered when i read on the whipple's blog that they have finally received the referral for their baby boy from Ethiopia.
