Here's a refreshing perspective from the young actress, Emma Watson, who played the intelligent Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movies. Makes me proud to be a Potter fan (though, as usual, I far prefer the books to the movies).

Sounds like she's a girl-gone-mild, like Wendy Shalit talks about in her book of the same name, Girls Gone Mild. Hopefully by the time Yosi's a teen this will be an obvious and hip genre. Tho, sadly, I don't feel heartily certain of it. We'll just keep trying to teaching her to be her own person, no matter what those other nutcases are doing. ;)
