Here are a couple of articles that have caught my eye in the last couple of weeks. Let me know what you think.
New Sweet Celebrity Adoption
I have mixed feelings about big profile celebrity adoptions, but this one just warms my heart. Check out their picture- they just look so sweet. And, I think it's really cool that Katherine's sister was adopted from Korea. So, it's a family thing.
See Baby Discriminate
This is not just information for parents of international or transracial adoptees. In fact, if anything, it may be more important for parents of children who look just like them and the majority of their community "matches" racially.
This article really got me thinking, especially as a parent of an international adoptee. A statement by an transracial adoptee suggesting that parents of children of a different race should consider themselves a family of that race, was, in a way, new perspective I'd not considered before. Seems a bit radical in some ways, but I understand why he said so. It certainly couldn't do more harm than good.

It was a little hard to focus on the story, in the first link, with all the trash around it, like "who has the best chest?" and Pam flashes on the runway............shows you how my eyes are drawn towards the bad stuff, and the ab ads on the second one, also drew my eyes away from the story...............
Lord help me!
*even though my eyes are drawn towards looking at worldly things. I am thankful that there are people that want to adopt, and do not care what color their skin is.
yeah- just as a disclaimer, the site where the first article is located is not one i visit on a regular basis. i linked there from a news page (probably MSN- i don't remember). i generally TRY to avoid celebrity tabloid crap. :}
