The pumpkin harvest is in and the pictures have been taken to prove it. We haven't carved one yet. We have a rotter on the front porch and I've baked one of the less photogenic ones for pumpkin cake, and 2 have gone to sit on Kari's front porch with the 2 ginormos my dad grew in his garden. I feel strangely attached to our pumpkins, though I did practically nothing to help them grow (that was all David: planting, weeding, watering faithfully). It is just very aesthetically satisfying to just gaze upon their round, orange shapes, to see the contrasts of their sizes and the slight variances of shade or stem. It really fills my heart with gladness. I guess that sounds sort of dweebish, but I guess that's who I am.
I also find it funny when Yosi feels it's necessary to take of her pants entirely (yes, I should just be thankful she gets them down in time), but put on her boots, to sit on the potty. She'll want to wallop me in 10-15 yrs for taking a picture, but I couldn't help myself.
I thought it was really cute that she was cuddling with her puppy and a toy tractor this morning- I couldn't resist a shot of that either.
I didn't think she could get cuter, but she outdoes herself all the time. Then again, she outdoes herself getting ornerier too. It's as if she has a gut instinct for checks and balances...
Ah, I hear her now. Awake from her nap and shouting her a request to go to Papaw's house. I'm guessing she wants icecream.

Cute pics and not dweebish at all. There's something satisfying about a harvest, isn't there?
Did you get the email with all the pumpkin recipes on that site. They looked pretty good.
Love the potty picture....you're right Yosi won't in about 15years. But it's so cute now!
