Ah, March. It must've been a good month. I took 175 pictures.
Of those, probably 75 were just of things that spring from the earth, full of vibrant, heart-gladdening Color.
I was so thankful, I simply couldn't help myself.
Good thing I live in a day of digital photography, so that I don't have to pay for the development of every photo I take.
Many to most of them aren't worth it.
I often don't know why I feel so compelled to photograph a thing.
I try to do it well, and very rarely come out with anything extaordinary, but I tend to think the thing I'm photographing is extra-wonderfully-ordinary at the time.

Why does Yosi want to pick up that grease stained rock and bring it home to show Daddy?
Just- because... silly but -fun and happy.
I'm learning, slowly, to celebrate being.

This is probably my favorite photo of the month:
I took it last Sunday. We just had to get outside, no matter the drizzly, gray weather.

Yosi's good clothing was secondhand perfection.
Boots from Aunt Shan the Christmas before we brought her home- I thought she'd never be big enough to wear them.
She still isn't, really.
They're 2 sizes too big, but she loves them, as much as her cousin, Shiloh, loved hers.
Raincoat is from Mana, who found it for $1 at a local consignment shop.
She has a keen nose for a "steal".
This one has been the perfect spring jacket.
Making snow&greens soup...
Warming-up with a cup-o-sweet-teas...
Adventures in original fashion.
Left: Snowdrops popping up everywhere. Right: Yosi made a fairy castle.
Obtained "Blooming Tea" @ a Jungle Jim's visit- part of David's birthday celebration.
BIG little MOMENT:
Inspecting the package to the Pacy Fairy to make sure it's ready to post...
Putting the pacies in the mailbox for delivery.
We told Yosi that the Pacy Fairy would fix up her pacies and give them to the babies (like Bubbles, or Ellie) who need them. It was a sad couple of nights, as she missed her little sucker at bedtime, but she was tired out enough to fall asleep in 30-45min. Since, she's asked about her pacy occasionally and sometimes she reminds herself out loud. But it's been a reasonably smooth transition.
In an unprecedented occurence DAVID got out the camera and snapped the above shot of Yosi waking me up from a nap.
Daddy's Girl.
A purple discovery with Mam-maw.
Last weekend I got intrepid and undertook making chicken nuggets AND including a 31 month old in the process.
It was actually a huge success. So much so that 2lb of chicken nuggets lasted only until Wednesday.
*Sigh* Alas, tho the ingredients have been purchased and are waiting, the get-up-and-go has not returned with such fervor, so we have been suffering w/o chicken nuggets for the latter half of the week.
On a stroll downtown, we stopped at The Ivy League and discovered this little prize.
Yosi was so enamored...
I had brought along a gift card, a Christmas gift from one of the docs I work with,
so Yosi became the proud owner of a pretty-
smelling, charming, little soap egg.
She held it tightly in her fist all the way home.
Enjoyed playing with it in the yard. Got distracted and left it there, whereupon I finally had a chance to photograph it.
I then returned it to her so she could make it useful for getting her dirty paws clean.
Cut into dragonfruit, another Jungle Jim's purchase.
A mild sweet melony flavor, but not a "love it" hit.
I've been playing volleyball on Wednesdays for the local Parks and Recreation league. Alot of soreness, bruises, and humiliation, but good excercise and fun. I played the first week without kneepads, and only thought to try to take a picture of my bruised knees the next week before the game.
That photo was too scary to post.
The team I'm on is seeded second (in spite of my contributions) and the tournament rounds start next week. If we win, we'll get T-shirts! SO excited. Really. :)
I leave you with- The Daffodils.
