We have an uninvited guest! What an honor!
A mama robin has taken up residence on our front porch, right above our mail box.
It's a rather ramshackle nest. She and the daddy robin put it together in a hurry.
I guess I can understand how that happens, as I'm in a hurry a lot myself.
But the rush is over- and now she's roosting. And protecting.
I haven't yet had the courage to peek in her nest to see how many eggs there are.
She looks pretty intense when she's disturbed and I don't want to scare her off...
I'm going to keep posting about the growth of this little family, so stay tuned.
In the set above are pics from earlier in the week.
Wednesday Yosi was intently involved with the bubble wrap in her recent package from Mana.
The bathroom sink recently had to be replaced and that meant new hardware, in chrome-
(instead of gold--ugh).
I have long intended to paint the bathroom light fixtures
(less expensive than replacing them for now), so I finally had the motivation I needed.
My father showed me how to unhook the electric wires.
Being able to unwire and rewire them pleased me nearly as much as the happy change the paint made.
*Yet another handywoman skill added to my tool belt!*

Who knew bubble wrap would be so entertaining? :)
Those light fixtures should look nice with their new paint. Look at you with your new skills!
