the Blizzard of '07

what could be better than level 3 weather?
david came home early from work. i didn't go to work, but stayed home and researched items one might need to develop a worthy nursery. we shovelled snow off the sidewalk 3x's, mostly for the fun of it. even the kitten enjoyed discovering it, and was eager to return to his warm, snug home. he's spent the evening running ballastically back and forth, playing fetch with hairbands. later, we will watch a movie, and stay up late, since we don't plan on going to work in the morning.

And what else was there to do in the winter? Stay inside and read. Or write. Stay inside and dream. Stay inside and look, safely, outside. The Muse might as well be invited- who else would venture out? --Patricia Hampl, A Romantic Education

[GOD] gives us snow like wool; he scatters frost like ashes. He hurls down
hail like crumbs -- who can stand before his cold? Psalm 147:16-17 (NRSV)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Cool pictures Lyn! We don't have that much snow down here right now. It is more like ice around here. Dad stayed in today as well. I am sure he is loving it. You could always quilt while you are looking outside! GRIN
